Robin Miller is the host of the new series on Food Network, Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller, which provides viewers with recipes, time-saving tips, and strategies for serving up fresh, healthful meals every day with the least possible effort.
In Quick Fix Meals, Robin shares her best time-saving strategies for putting fresh, delicious food on the table every night. Her recipes are organized by these techniques, which include Meal Kits (pre-prepping the ingredients for a weeknight meal on the weekend, bagging them, and having them ready to go in the fridge; the result--meals that can be on the table in literally 10 minutes); Morph-It Recipes (enjoy Herb-Crusted Turkey Tenderloin one night and you've got the makings for Chili-Rubbed Turkey Medallions or Pan-Seared Turkey with Apples and Melted Blue Cheese another night), and Greased Lightning, unbelievably tasty recipes that can be put together and on the table in 20 minutes. There are also Simple Sides that go together in no time, as well as, for those who just can't live without dessert, a collection of In-a-Snap Sweets.

I also love the souces she tells you how to make that can be used in lots of recipes. Customer Rating: Summary: Helpful and Realistic Cookbook! Comment: My husband and I received this book as a wedding gift, and it's been wonderful to use! As a senior in college and working a part time job on the side, Miller's book was enjoyable to use and most of the recipes worked for our newlywed budget (even more so than Rachael Ray's cookbook we received at the same time!). I'm a pretty slow cook when I first try recipes, but most of the recipes I have tried so far have been close to her projected times.
Last, but definitely not least, read the opening --"The Quick Fix Kitchen"! Miller gives great tips on what to have in the pantry at all times and how to do shopping. I love this cookbook (and so does my husband... he didn't have to eat fast food or Macaroni and Cheese every night for the first year of our marriage!). I just bought it for my mom since she's started working again and I'm hoping she'll like it as much as we do! Customer Rating: Summary: A good cookbook for a busy lifestyle Comment: I like how Robin Miller helps you plan meals ahead of time and get things ready the night before. You can get home from work and throw everything together but still have a home-cooked, healthy meal. There are a lot of great recipes but I must admit that some of them are a little bit too weird-sounding for me to try. I just don't think my husband would eat some things and some of the ingredients she tells you to have on hand are hard to find in the grocery store. All in all, I really do like this cookbook though.
