Vampires that, at will, can transform into wolves, panthers, insects, or fog invade the Slayer base of operations in northern Scotland, and not only walk away unscathed, but in possession of Buffy's scythe, the symbol of Slayer power worldwide. Buffy and the Slayer-legion travel to Tokyo in order to learn more about their dangerous new foes, as Xander journeys to Transylvania to solicit the only person they've ever known to possess such power - Dracula!

Customer Rating: Summary: Best in Buffy Season 8 So Far!!! Comment: OK, so I'm a fanboy, but seriously this is the reason why its worth investing in the first two volumes of this series. Whedon really starts packing in the emotional punches here and how can you not love the return of Dracula in such a spectacularly cool way? Take the time to read this series and you will have fun, I promise. Now if only they could make that Buffy movie a reality...
Customer Rating: Summary: More Vampires at the Gate Comment: This book brought back Dracula which was great. I'm not sure about the new love interest for Buffy. It seems that the men writing this may just be living out they're own fantasies.
Customer Rating: Summary: yet not Whedon Comment: It' amusing, clever, sharp, and it has a bite... as the rest of the serie, it's still has that spark tht got my eye from the very first season. Though this book isn't written by Whedon, it stll has the main personality of the serie. A nice chapter for the 8th season. (watch out! spoiler!> I can't stand the Mecha-Dawn... they could just skip that part...)
Customer Rating: Summary: I liked it. Keep them coming. Comment: Wolves at the Gate meets the standards set by Joss Whedon and the show. The one that sticks out most to me is Joss' habit of giving his characters love after a long dry spell and then suddenly and tragically taking it away.
However, I found Buffy's whole lesbian experience to be silly and completely out of her character. Unfortunately, this is something that Joss never really gets right for whatever reason. Overall, I think the story is interesting and I enjoyed seeing Dracula again.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Eighth Season Finale Comment: In one word, excellent. This is the last in a three volume series of what would have been the eighth season of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer series. The drawings are fine (some excellent in fact), but its the story that I'm most interested in. The writing and the humor is faithful to what the TV series was. I recommend all fans of the Buffy universe to get all three volumes in order to have the whole story. And yes, Volume 3 has a cool ending. Personally, I think that there is enough interest within the BTVS fan base, for Joss to make a profitable movie. If not a story with Buffy herself, one with another Vampire Slayer. Anybody else besides me interested in a Faith The Vampire Slayer movie? Of course, all original actors and actresses are a must to make it work.
