I have long been impressed with Lenox quality, so that is one reason I selected this dish. Not only is it beautiful, it is also functional. Most other serving dishes in this collection have covered lids and one needs to lift the lid to find what is in it. Having glass lid makes it convenient but a little less formal. But hey, this is supposed to be a casual china! Cleaning is just as easy as with other pieces in this set.
