Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Lasko 4000 Air Stik Oscillating Fan Review Comment: Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating Fan This fan works great because it stands tall (12")& slim and doesn't take up a lot of space & it has two speeds. I have them in different places in my home & they work great for my hot flashes when I need to cool down. Customer Rating: Summary: Lasko 4000 Fan Comment: Great product at a surprisingly low cost. This is not only attractive but it is also quiet yet powerful. Customer Rating: Summary: Not a Fan of Lasko (excuse the pun) Comment: I wish I could say that I had the experience of the majority of reviewers when it comes to the Lasko 4000. Unfortunately, I am definitely the exception here. It worked fine at first, but after around 6 months, it started becoming increasingly noisy. Given that I had this in the bedroom, it didn't make for a comfortable night's sleep. In about the 8th month, I had picked it up while cleaning and later found that when I turned it on, the noise level had escalated and it didn't seem to work properly. Once again being the exception to other reviewers, I actually had a much better experience with the Brookstone MiniMax fan. It's still going strong and unlike the Lasko fan, you can set 1,2 and 3 hour intervals before auto shut-off. Even without that feature, I would have been happy with Lasko if it hadn't burned out on me. Customer Rating: Summary: decent fan, not the best Comment: Bought this fan to use as a small desk fan in my bedroom during the warmer summer months. I feel as though this fan makes too much noise for the amount of air it circulates so I never sleep with it on. The "high" setting is not that high and the low is very, very low. Still a fine fan and I use it quite often, but I cannot overlook the noise level. Customer Rating: Summary: a great personal fan Comment: This is a great personal fan. I use one in my bedroom, at high speed with rotation, about 8 feet from my bed. I use another at my work desk, at low speed without rotation, about 3 feet from me.
