Customer Rating: Summary: Close your eyes Comment: This is one of the most delicious things ever, and yet it looks just horrible. I am an aesthetic eater, and it is very rare that I will eat something that looks nasty, no matter how it tastes, but this is an exception. When it's over rice, it doesn't look quite as bad as straight in a bowl, though. Even my teen daughter loves it, and her tolerance for the "ewwww" factor is much lower than mine.
Customer Rating: Summary: I hate false advertising Comment: Let me start by saying I boought this on sale for %50 off or about $1/serving. At that price, it's a pretty good deal. The label shows about 300% more paneer than you get in the package. Like so many prepackaged foods, it is high in sodium and saturated fat. They mask it by saying there's 2.5 servings in a packet. Maybe if you're on a diet but not in real life. One package with rice or bread is a decent serving for one person. The taste is good but I'd like something more like the label depicts.
Customer Rating: Summary: Delicious and convenient Comment: Though they are high in sodium, I adore Kitchens of India products, especially the palak paneer. I am a big fan of Indian food, but no one else in my house cares for it, so I very rarely get to go out to a restaurant and enjoy it. These dishes allow me to have some of my favorite foods at home much cheaper than they would be in a restaurant. My local grocery store sells these for about $3 each, so I am delighted to find them here for less. I like to stir a little plain yogurt in before I eat them.
Customer Rating: Summary: Really good Comment: Thanks for the heads-up on sodium content, but it's so good that I don't care. I'm ordering a case. The taste and texture are both very good - maybe the sodium is the secret, because I've tried other dried and frozen varieties, and none are anywhere near as good.
Customer Rating: Summary: Sodium content makes unhealthy Comment: Ridiculous sodium content. Why cant they have low sodium and let me add how much i want?
