They will be more difficult to lose or break. They come in handy from time to time. Not essential but useful. However, to replace it I had to buy a package of four (4) which is understandable as the stop is a small minor item. The shipping and handling cost of a small package was more than the items! Now I can clamp small strips of wood for sanding and planing, and fold the whole apparatus away when I'm done.
