I was hoping for a different color but I knew that I could receive any color including gray. Charging it was no problem and so far I have not had any problems with the rechargable battery. It is definitely a great idea because you don't have to replace dead batteries. Just recharge them. So far I am happy with this purchase. Unfortunately I failed to understand the battery needed to be in the wii remote to charge it. You can charge them by switching out the battery then charging it and putting it aside but that's more of a pain than I'm willing to go through. I'll just save it until I get another remote.
