It's a bit lighter in weight than I expected, though I did expect it to be small in size. I wanted this as a pinky ring, and so a size 4 is perfect for my little hands and does not overwhelm them at all. I have a problem with many rings being too large and making me look like I'm a little girl playing dress-up in my mother's jewelry. :) Good quality, great price. I purchased this as a pinky ring to accent larger and simpler bands that I use for my middle fingers, yet found that it is also subtle enough to wear with my gemmed rings while not overshadowing and/or cluttering the hand. Being a first-time buyer of this company, I didn't expect the ring to be such a smoothly and precisely made piece for its price, and I'm happy to say I'm wrong. Though it is thin, it is certainly exactly as described: a 4 mm-wide piece weighing 1 to 1.5 grams, depending on the size...so I don't understand the suprise when found to be on the petite side.
