It performs as advertised, is very quiet and has made the use of Time Machine seamless. When I upgrade my G5 Tower to a new MacPro this hard drive is coming along with the upgrade. Tom's Hardware says "We have to advise against getting the first generation Caviar Green drive--the WD10EACS--because the current model WD10EADS is just so much better. ... If you want an efficient drive go for the WD Caviar Green WD10EADS, not the WD10EACS." Customer Rating: Summary: Awesome Upgrade for TiVo HD Comment: I purchased this hard drive to use as an upgrade in my TiVo HD. It replaced the stock 160gb drive, which was capable of holding only 20 hrs of HD video. This drive allows me to now store 160 hrs of HD video and almost 1500 hours of SD video. Awesome upgrade for my TiVo HD. Note - This drive WILL NOT work in the Series 3 TiVo as an upgrade as it is the WD10EACS-00ZJB0 which causes the Series 3 to get stuck in an endless boot cycle.
